Meet Your Friendly Dental Team – Reno, NV

Your Family Just Got
a Whole Lot Bigger

A dental office is only as good as the people prepared to answer your questions and provide your care. At Village Dental, our hygienists, dental assistants, and dental office staff are very knowledgeable on all things dentistry, so you’re never too far from someone who’s able to help you and your family. We encourage you to take a moment to learn more about them in greater detail before your next appointment!

Cambria, Office Manager

Dental office manager Cambria

Cambria has been working in the dental world for nearly a decade so far. She moved around a lot of a kid, but now considers Reno to be her true home. She completed her education at the University of Nevada in Reno (Go Pack!). Today, as our dedicated manager, she loves helping patients understand the “why” behind the importance of oral health.

At home, Cambria and her husband Devon have two young children – a boy and a girl. As a family, they enjoy doing things outdoors together and going on spontaneous weekend trips. As for personal hobbies, she loves organizing, going all out for themed parties, camping, hiking, and baking.

Here’s an interesting fact about Cambria: she and her husband got free Chick-Fil-A for a year after spending all night in the parking lot when they first opened!

Erica, Insurance & Billing Coordinator

Dental treatment coordinator Erica

A Reno native, Erica studied dental assisting at Truckee Meadows Community College. While she may be new to our team, her history in dentistry spans well over five years. Today, what she enjoys most about her role is the various conversations she gets to have with patients, whether they’re about dental care, family, travel, or simply how someone’s day is going. Being the first one to greet new arrivals is so fun!

Erica and her fiancé Travis have a beautiful little girl who is their whole world. Her siblings and parents also live in the area, so they’re regularly hanging out together. Outside of the dental office, her favorite hobbies include hiking, hanging out with her daughter, and cooking. Her signature dish for Master Chef would be a lemon cheesecake.

Here’s an interesting fact about Erica: she wants to go skydiving but none of her friends or family want to join her. She’s also slightly colorblind and hates mustard.

Jessie , Dental Assistant

Dental assistant Jessica

A Reno native, Jessie has been working in the field for over five years so far. She studied dental assisting at Truckee Meadows Community College. Today, what she enjoys most about her position is getting to be part of such an awesome team! Everyone works together like a family and is always looking out for one another. She feels like she can count on these girls for absolutely anything.

Away from the dental office, Jessie has a BIG, tight-knit family. She spends her free time going to the movies (how can you say no to theater popcorn!?), hiking, and laughing with friends.

Here’s an interesting fact about Jessie: when she was four, she fell off the top of the diving board and has needed glasses ever since. She’s not entirely sure if those two things are related!

Jessica , Dental Hygienist

Dental hygienist Jessica

Jess attended the dental hygiene program at Truckee Meadows Community College; she’s also certified in laser dentistry. A Reno native, she’s been working in dentistry for well over a decade now. As one of our talented hygienists, she enjoys meeting new people and building lasting relationships with them. Educating patients about good oral hygiene techniques is really important to her!

Jess and her husband Nick have two boys and a dog, all of whom like to rough house with one another. A normal evening at her house can involve anything from dance-offs to hockey matches to sword fights. As for personal hobbies, she enjoys camping, going to the sand dunes, boating at the lake, shopping, having lunch with friends, and hanging out with loved ones.

Here’s an interesting fact about Jess: some would say that she has the memory of an elephant.

Merilyn, Dental Hygienist

Dental hygienist Merilyn

Merilyn may be relatively new to Village Dental, but her overall oral healthcare career covers a full decade so far. A Sparks native, she attended the dental hygiene program at Truckee Meadows Community College. Today, she truly loves making patients smile! Sometimes that happens because they’re happy to have clean teeth, and sometimes it happens because she’s just really funny.

Merilyn and her husband were high school sweethearts, and they have a daughter and a Bull Terrier with lots of energy. As for personal hobbies, she enjoys spending her time reading before bed, painting with her daughter, playing with the dog, and paddle boarding at the lake.

Here’s an interesting fact about Merilyn: When she was five years old, she was walking along the top of the monkey bars and had a bad accident involving her teeth. She’s been obsessed with teeth ever since!

Anya, Dental Hygienist

A native of Whittier and Huntington Beach, Anya has been in the dental field for more than two decades. She started as a dental lab tech, and then she eventually returned to school for dental assisting. Afterward, she went to hygiene school; following that, she became a practicing hygienist. She wants to be able to give her patients the best possible care, which is why she’s dedicated to going the extra mile when it comes to her education. To her, the best part of her job is the wonderful team she gets to work with.

Anya has been married to her husband Christian for more than 10 years, and they have 3 German shorthaired pointers. Anya spends a lot of time outside, and her hobbies include camping, boating, hiking, hunting, fishing, and snow skiing.

Here’s an interesting fact about Anya: English was actually her second language, and to this day she remains fairly fluent in Russian.

Colby, Dental Hygienist

A native of Susanville, Colby spent some time working as a hygiene assistant, which is how she decided to pursue a career in dental hygiene. She earned a degree at Carrington College, and today she’s proud to be a part of the Village Dental team. She greatly enjoys having the chance to form relationships with patients and teach them about oral health and the impact it can have on the rest of the body.

Colby has a chocolate lab named Willow, who she often plays with. Her other hobbies include hiking, hunting, and reading. She also often spends time at the lake.

Here’s an interesting fact about Colby: she is forklift certified, and she is just as obsessed with dinosaurs now as she was when she was a child.

Katherine, Dental Hygienist

With over a decade of experience, Katherine loves being able to help patients achieve healthier smiles alongside an amazing team that cares about each other. Originally from Sparks, she studied at Truckee Meadows Community College to earn her certification as a dental assistant before becoming a dental hygienist. She also loves learning more every day so that she can provide the best care possible.

At home, Katherine lives with her husband and their two sons. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, reading books, doing puzzles, hanging out with the family, and being with her children. Fun fact: she loves themed parties!

Evette, Scheduling & Treatment Coordinator

Born in California but raised in Reno, Evette spent 3 years working as a pediatric dental assistant before she eventually made the switch to general dentistry. She ultimately decided to work at our practice because she loved her appointments with Dr. Cercek. She considers the team at Village Dental to be her second family, and she loves getting to interact with so many different patients.

Evette loves her family, which includes her 2 sisters and her corgi pup, Maze. When she isn’t at the office, she enjoys exploring Lake Tahoe or going to music festivals. She also loves having the chance to travel to new cities.

Here’s an interesting fact about Evette: she knows the words to every Taylor Swift song.

Toni, Insurance & Billing Coordinator

Toni loves to dive deep into our patients’ insurance plans so she can answer any questions they have and help them consistently get the most out of their benefits. A graduate of Utah Valley University, she started dental assisting after graduating from school and initially thought about pursuing dental hygiene. But, after working for several years, she decided hygiene wasn’t the best fit for her, so she was cross-trained and realized that she liked the administrative side of dentistry much more. Today, she has over 15 years of experience in the field.

Outside of the office, Toni says her other job is being a chauffeur for her three children (two girls and a boy)! Between gymnastics, basketball, lacrosse, and dance, she and her husband are always on the road. When she has time for herself, she likes to read, snowboard, and enjoy a nice spa day.

Zaira, Dental Assistant

A native of Reno, Zaira is eager to learn as much as she can about the dental field. She loves our beautiful office location, and she views her coworkers like family members.

Zaira enjoys spending time with her family, including her brother. She considers herself a very flexible person and loves to try out different things. She particularly enjoys reading and outdoor activities.

Here’s an interesting fact about Zaira: even though she can’t swim, she loves the pool.

Kaysee, Scheduling & Treatment Coordinator

Kaysee was trained as a certified medical administrative assistant with medical billing and coding, and after working in a dental office, she knew it was the right place for her! She loves how her job gives her a chance to create genuine relationships with both our patients and her coworkers.

Originally from Fallon, Kaysee married her high school sweetheart, and they have two young daughters. When she isn’t chasing her girls, you’ll usually find her busy with various DIY projects or home renovations.

Diana, Dental Assistant

Diana attended the Milan Institute for her dental training, and she likes building relationships with our patients as well as working chairside with our dentists. When she isn’t at the office, she likes to go camping, crochet, and gel her own nails.
